With Lunch Punch you turn an ordinary sandwich into a dinosaur, mermaid or rocket in no time. The Lunch Punch sandwich cutters are deep enough for a double sandwich and have no sharp edges, so children can help out themselves. The silicone cups then divide the lunch box neatly. That makes lunch for school or nursery a fun moment. At Tiny Giggles you will find Lunch Punch in our lunch box accessories collection.
Lunch Punch sandwich cutters
The Lunch Punch sandwich cutters are about 9 x 9.5 cm and 3 cm deep. They are deeper than a standard cookie cutter, so you can easily cut out a double, filled sandwich in one go. The cutters are made of food-safe materials, free of BPA, PVC and phthalates, and have no sharp edges. So let the kids help! Each cutter comes in a gift box of about 10.5 x 20.5 x 3.5 cm.
The cutters have a clever size, so as little bread as possible goes to waste. The leftovers, such as the crusts, can simply go along too, for example with a little dip.
The themes
There are cutters in cheerful themes, so every child can find a favourite:
- Dino: tough dinosaurs for little palaeontologists.
- Mermaid and Fairy: for fairy-tale sandwiches.
- Shark: for adventurers of the underwater world.
- Space: rockets and space travel on your plate.
- Transport: cars and vehicles for little drivers.
- Puzzle: sandwich pieces you fit back together like a puzzle.
- Mini Bites: small bites, made of food-safe ABS plastic, free of BPA, phthalates, lead and PVC, dishwasher safe and 100% recyclable.
There is also a set of bread cutters, also dishwasher safe and 100% recyclable. The mermaid and dino sandwich cutters are favourites with many children.
More than just bread
You don't only use a cutter for sandwiches. Also use it to cut out omelette, wraps, pancakes, slices of cheese or sausage, and cookie dough. Handy for a children's party, a picnic or a fun treat on an ordinary afternoon. That way one cutter makes all sorts of dishes special.
A fun shape can also help children who are a bit fussy about food. A sandwich that looks like a dinosaur or a fairy is simply more exciting than a plain square one. Try a new kind of filling in a favourite shape: the step to taste it is often much smaller.
Lunch Punch silicone cups
With the Lunch Punch silicone cups you separate different portions in the lunch box in a playful and practical way. The set contains 3 round cups in different colours, in blue or yellow. They are made of 100% food-grade platinum silicone, BPA-free and dishwasher safe. A cup has a 6 cm base, a height of 3.5 cm and a 9 cm opening. Thanks to the flexible zigzag edges they fit in many lunch boxes. Ideal for snacks, dips, sauces and side dishes.
Putting together a fun lunch box
Start with a cut-out sandwich as the centrepiece. Fill the empty space with a silicone cup of berries, cucumber or a dip, and put the crusts in another compartment. A bento lunch box with compartments, such as from Yumbox or b.box, works especially well. That way your child has a varied lunch that looks cheerful. A child who thinks their lunch looks fun often eats it better too.
Ideas per theme
With a little imagination you can turn every theme into a small story. Place a cut-out dino on a bed of lettuce or cucumber, with a few cherry tomatoes as dino eggs. A mermaid swims between blueberries and pieces of melon, and a shark gets a sea of grapes. A rocket from the space cutter flies past stars made of cheese, and the cars drive along a road of carrot sticks. With the puzzle, your child can fit the pieces back together before eating. That makes every lunch a small adventure, without taking much extra time.
Tips for a varied lunch
Alternate bread with a wrap or a pancake, and vary the filling, such as cheese, hummus or egg. Add vegetables and fruit in different colours, and perhaps a small dip in a silicone cup. Prepare lunch the evening before and keep it in the fridge, so in the morning you only need to put the lunch box in the bag. An ice pack in the lunch bag keeps everything fresh for longer until break time.
Together in the kitchen
Because the cutters have no sharp edges, children can help out themselves. Let your child choose a theme, fill the bread and cut it out. That way your child playfully learns about food and is proud of the lunch they made themselves. Do stay close when your child helps in the kitchen.
