Has your little one outgrown a hooded towel? Then a bathrobe is the next step. Pippi's organic bathrobes come in size 86/92, for children aged about 1 to 2 years. They are made of 100% organic cotton and washable at 40°C. Choose from Harbor Mist in grey, Ice Blue in blue and Mineral Yellow in yellow. Pippi's muslin squares are about 70 x 70 cm, made of 100% cotton, suitable from birth and washable at 60°C. They come in sets of 6 or 8 with matching colours:
You use muslin squares all day long: as a burp cloth over your shoulder, as a mat on the changing table, to wipe mouths and hands or as a light blanket in summer. You will find more under muslin squares and swaddles and white muslin cloths.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers. It feels soft and is a lovely choice for textiles that touch your baby's skin directly, such as a hooded towel or bathrobe. Cotton absorbs moisture well, so you can dry your little one quickly after the bath. With good care the hooded towels and bathrobes last a long time, and can be handed down to a little brother or sister.
A few muslin squares belong in every changing bag. On the go you use them as a burp cloth, as a clean mat on a changing table or to quickly wipe a little hand or mouth. Never drape a cloth over the pram or pushchair: it can quickly get too hot underneath. Because they are light and thin, they take up little space. Lay the hooded towel ready before you put your baby in the bath, so you can wrap them up straight after. Start at the head with the hood and wrap the rest of the body in it. Gently pat the skin dry and don't forget the folds in the neck, behind the ears and between the legs. A muslin square is handy for wiping the face and hands extra gently. That makes bath time a calm and cosy moment together.
Never leave your baby alone in the bath, not even for a moment. Don't use a muslin square loose in the cot while your baby sleeps, and keep the cot clear of loose items in the first year. Take off a bathrobe with a belt before your little one goes to sleep.
The hooded towels and bathrobes are washable at 40°C, the muslin squares at 60°C. Wash new muslin squares a few times before use; they get softer and more absorbent. Use a mild detergent and skip fabric softener. Always follow the care label. Let the squares and hooded towels dry well after washing, preferably in the air, so they stay fresh and soft.
