A holiday, a weekend away or a sleepover at the grandparents': travelling is a lot more fun when your child can bring their own things. In the Travel category you will find kids travel accessories such as kids' suitcases, trolley backpacks, toiletry bags and complete travel sets, with favourite characters like Paw Patrol, Sonic, Spider-Man, Bluey, Minnie Mouse and Peppa Pig. Below you can read what you will find in each category, which size suits your child's age and how to travel together in a relaxed way.
Kids' suitcases
Their own kids' suitcase on wheels makes your child feel like a real traveller. The suitcases come in different sizes: the 'Star Of The Show', 'Boundless' and 'I Was Made For This' suitcases are about 42 x 32 x 11 cm, and the 'Made To Roll' suitcases from Sonic, Bluey and Kidzroom are a bit roomier at about 49 x 31 x 14 cm. They have a zipped main compartment and a loop on top. Choose from Paw Patrol, Sonic, Spider-Man, Bluey, Cars, Minnie Mouse, Milky Kiss, Skooter and the cheerful Kidzroom suitcases. You will find a selection especially for boys under kids' suitcases for boys.
Trolley backpacks
A trolley backpack combines two bags in one: your child pulls it on wheels, or carries it on their back when that is easier, for example on stairs or in the sand. The small 3D backpacks of about 32 x 26 x 11 cm, with Bluey, Sonic, Minnie Mouse or Spider-Man, are ideal for toddlers and preschoolers. Larger models such as the Cars, Disney Princess or Marvel Avengers trolley backpack are about 38 cm high, and the Skooter Dinogames trolley backpack is the roomiest at about 57 x 42 x 21 cm.
Toiletry bags for kids
In their own toiletry bag, your child keeps their toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and hair ties. That way everything is together and they learn to look after their own things. A toiletry bag that you keep packed at home for sleepovers is handy too. Choose from Frozen, Mickey Mouse, L.O.L. Surprise or the Rainbow Unicorn toiletry bag from Sass & Belle.

Which size suits which age?
- Toddlers (2 to 4 years): a small 3D trolley backpack of about 32 cm high, light enough to pull themselves, with a cuddly toy, a book and some snacks inside.
- Preschoolers (4 to 6 years): a kids' suitcase of about 42 cm, with room for clothes for a sleepover or a weekend.
- Primary school: a roomier suitcase of about 49 cm or the large Skooter trolley backpack, for longer trips and more things.
Packing together
Let your child help with packing. Make a list with pictures together for young children: pyjamas, underwear, toothbrush, cuddly toy, a book. That way your child learns to think ahead and knows exactly what is in their suitcase. Put heavy items at the bottom, close to the wheels, so the suitcase does not tip over. Keep it light enough for your child to really pull it themselves. A few small pouches for each type of item, such as underwear, socks and toys, help keep the suitcase organised, also at your holiday destination.
On the plane
Many kids' suitcases and trolley backpacks are handy as hand luggage. Always check the dimensions and rules of your airline before you leave, though, as they differ per airline. Put something to do during the flight in your child's hand luggage, such as a book, colouring pencils or a cuddly toy, and an empty drink bottle you can fill after security.
Food and drinks on the go
On a long journey, snacks are a must. Bring snack boxes and fruit containers with fruit, crackers or raisins, and their own water bottle so your child drinks enough. You will find everything for on the go, also for the little ones, under on the go and out with the baby.
Enjoying the suitcase for a long time
Wipe the outside of the suitcase or trolley backpack with a damp cloth and a little soap. After the holiday, let it dry open and remove sand or crumbs. Check now and then whether the wheels, handle and zip still work well. Store the suitcase dry, and it is ready for the next trip. Between holidays it often doubles as storage for toys or dressing-up clothes.
Tips for relaxed travel with children
- Plan breaks: children need to move around now and then, especially on long car journeys.
- Bring something familiar: their own cuddly toy or pillow helps them sleep in a new place.
- Something new for the journey: a new book or small toy often holds their attention longer.
- Add a name: attach a label with name and phone number to the suitcase.
