Choosing the right size
Babies grow fast, especially in the first months. A few tips:

- Go a size up now and then: then it fits for longer, especially for gifts.
- Shoes: measure the length of the foot and add about a centimetre, so the toes have room.

- Mild detergents: use a mild detergent and preferably no fabric softener for baby clothes.
- Shoes: wipe them clean with a damp cloth and let them air dry.
Dressing safely
Take a hat off indoors and during sleep, so your baby doesn't get too warm. In the first year, use no loose blankets or pillows in the cot, but a well-fitting sleeping bag. Regularly check that buttons and poppers are still secure, and remove loose threads before your baby wears the clothes. Indoors, let your baby walk barefoot or in soft slippers whenever possible, which is good for the development of little feet.
Complete the outfit
