Cam Cam Copenhagen is a Danish brand that designs beautiful, timeless items for babies and children. Love for children and the belief that they deserve the best are at its heart. The Danish brand is known for its Scandinavian style: simple, functional and with an eye for detail. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is an international certification for textiles made from organic fibres, such as organic cotton. The standard looks at the whole production chain: from growing the cotton to dyeing and sewing. There are strict requirements for the substances used and for working conditions. For you, it means that the cotton touching your baby's skin has been made responsibly. According to the brand, the products are also coloured with natural dyes.
The muslin bibs are about 17 cm long and suitable from birth. Muslin is airy and soft, ideal for the youngest babies who drool or bring up a little milk. Choose from Blush, Fleur, Grey, Mustard, Pressed Leaves Blue and Pressed Leaves Rose. They are really drool bibs: small, light and easy to wear all day, as long as you are around.
The Classic bibs are suitable from 6 months. The Classic Bib Fleur in pink is about 20 cm long, the Classic Bib Horse in Dusty Blue about 22 cm. There is also the Bib Ocean in green, about 20 cm. They are great for when your child starts on first foods. Bigger than the muslin bibs, but still light and soft, so they don't get in your child's way at the table.
For the real messy work there are the long bibs of about 30 cm, with a front pocket that catches crumbs and spilt food. Choose from Fleur in pink and Ocean in green. Suitable from 6 months and a great choice as a feeding bib.
The dummy clip Pressed Leaves Blue is about 20 cm long. The cord is made of soft, 100% organic GOTS-certified cotton, the clip is 100% natural wood with a nickel-free metal clip, and the ring is 100% rubber. That way the dummy doesn't fall on the floor and is always within reach. The dummy clip goes beautifully with the muslin bibs in the same print.
Many babies start drooling a lot at a few months old. It is part of development and often has to do with teeth coming through. The saliva makes clothes wet, and a wet collar against the skin can rub or cause red patches. A bib catches the drool before it soaks into clothing. Muslin is very suitable for this: it is thin, breathable and absorbs moisture well. Change the bib when it is wet, so your baby's skin stays dry and comfortable. That way you don't have to change into a whole new outfit every time, and your little one stays looking neat, even at a party or at grandma and grandpa's.
Only use a bib when your child is awake and you are around, and always take it off before your little one goes to sleep. The dummy clip is also meant for daytime: never use it in bed, don't attach it to a necklace or other cord, and keep it away from the neck. Check the cord and clip regularly for wear, and replace it if you see any damage.
All Cam Cam bibs and the dummy clip are washable at 40 °C. Organic cotton often gets a little softer after washing. Use a mild detergent without bleach so the prints stay beautiful, and let the bibs air dry. Wash a new bib before first use. It is handy to have a few: that way you always have a clean bib to hand while the others are in the wash.
The thin muslin bibs take up hardly any space. Put a few in the changing bag, together with the dummy clip and a muslin cloth, and you are ready for drool, spit-up and snacks on the go. You will find more handy items under out with the baby.
