Soft, simple and with a Scandinavian touch: that's Fixoni. FIXONI Baby Tales is a Danish-designed baby brand that makes soft cotton products for babies and toddlers. The brand wants to give little ones a soft and safe start in life, and therefore pays close attention to every detail where textile touches your baby's skin. At Tiny Giggles you'll find the Fixoni Infinity hooded towels in organic cotton and the Infinity summer blankets in Oeko-Tex certified cotton. Below you can read more about both.
About Fixoni
Fixoni offers a complete range for babies and toddlers, with both neutral unisex styles and items with a bit more colour and prints. Every style has that recognisable Scandinavian feel: calm, soft and timeless. The products are made from soft, high-quality cotton fabrics, so they feel lovely on sensitive baby skin. The colours combine easily with each other and with the rest of the nursery.
Fixoni Infinity hooded towels
The Fixoni Infinity hooded towels are made of 100% organic cotton terry. They're lovely and soft and have a cute motif on the hood. At 80 x 80 cm they're suitable from birth. They come in three colours:
- Organic Antique White: a soft off-white that goes with everything.
- Organic Rose Dream: a sweet powder pink.
- Organic New Baby Blue: a soft light blue.
After the bath, lay your baby on the towel, fold the hood over the little head and wrap the rest around the body. That keeps your little one warm while you dry them. More models from other brands are under baby hooded towels and bath essentials.
Fixoni Infinity summer blankets
The Fixoni Infinity blankets are light summer blankets of 70 x 70 cm, made of 100% cotton and Oeko-Tex certified. They have a pattern on one side and are plain on the other, and are suitable from birth. The colours:
- Desert: beige and brown.
- Grey Melange: grey with a bear print.
- Off White: off-white and grey.
- Soft Blue: blue with a cloud print.
- Soft Rose: pink with a cloud print.
- Wisteria: lilac with a heart print.
Thanks to the small size, a Fixoni blanket is handy in the pram, in the car seat or as a little play mat on the sofa. More blankets are under baby blankets.
Safe sleep
A summer blanket is lovely for covering your baby on a walk or while awake. In the first year, only use a blanket under supervision, and put nothing loose in the cot: no blanket, pillow or cuddly toy. A baby sleeping bag is the safest way to keep your baby warm at night.
Organic cotton and Oeko-Tex
The hooded towels are made of organic cotton: cotton grown without chemical pesticides. The blankets are Oeko-Tex certified, which means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances. Good to know when you're looking for something that touches your baby's skin directly.
A beautiful baby gift
A Fixoni hooded towel or summer blanket is a stylish baby gift. The calm colours suit every nursery, and because there are neutral shades you can choose a gift before the birth too. Combine a hooded towel with a blanket in a matching colour, for example Rose Dream with Soft Rose or New Baby Blue with Soft Blue, for a complete set. More ideas are under gifts.
Combining
Fixoni's soft colours go beautifully with other items in the nursery. Think of muslin cloths and swaddles for feeding and changing, or washcloths for bath time. Inspiration for the rest of the room is under kids' room, and everything for care under baby care.
How to use a hooded towel
- Lay the hooded towel ready on the changing mat or a towel, hood up, before you lift your baby out of the bath.
- Never leave your baby alone in the bath, not even to grab the towel. That's why laying it out is so handy.
- Place your baby with the head in the hood and fold the sides around the body.
- Pat the skin dry rather than rubbing, paying attention to skin folds, behind the ears and between the toes.
- Let your baby lie in the towel a moment longer for a cuddle, then dress them calmly.
A summer blanket all year round
Although the Fixoni Infinity blankets are called summer blankets, you can use them all year. In summer they're light enough to cover your baby in the pram without getting too warm. In winter, put one in the car seat or pram as an extra layer, or use it as a soft play mat on the sofa. The 70 x 70 cm size also fits easily in the changing bag.
Choosing colours
Not sure about the colour? Off White, Desert and Grey Melange are neutral and suit both boys and girls. Soft Blue and New Baby Blue are soft blues, Soft Rose and Rose Dream sweet pinks, and Wisteria a fresh lilac choice. Because the blankets are plain on one side, you can also turn them over for a calmer look.
Washing and care
Wash your Fixoni hooded towel and blanket before first use. Use a mild detergent and skip fabric softener, so the cotton stays soft and absorbent. Let the hooded towel dry well after use by hanging it by the hood. For the right washing temperature, always check the label of your product.
Tip: keep the Fixoni hooded towel and blanket together in a basket by the changing table. Then you have everything at hand after the bath, and the nursery stays neat and tidy.
