As soon as your little one starts eating solid food, you can't do without baby bibs. Food is explored with hands, spoons and sometimes the whole face, and a good bib keeps clothes clean. At Tiny Giggles you will find bibs of every kind: from waterproof fabric bibs and silicone bibs with a food catcher to sleeved bibs that cover arms and clothes completely. You will find them from brands such as b.box, Mushie, Smallstuff, Babyono and Baby Bites.
Not every bib is the same. Which one suits best depends on your child's age, how they eat and whether you are at home or out and about. In our collection you will find four types:
The Baby Bites bibs are about 27 x 29 cm, with a 100% cotton outer side and an inner layer of waterproof polyester. They are suitable from 0 to 2 years, washable at 30°C and come in lots of cheerful prints, such as bicycles, clouds, boats, penguins, strawberries and whales. The Babyono terry bibs are about 23 x 37 cm, made of cotton and polyester with an EVA inner layer, from 6 months, with motifs such as dino, cat, rabbit and clouds. The Cam Cam Copenhagen bibs are made of soft, GOTS certified organic cotton, from 6 months and washable at 40°C. The Smallstuff bibs have a nylon front and a soft terry back: the small bib is about 32 x 24.5 cm for 6 months to 2 years, the large bib with food catcher about 36 x 29 cm for 6 months to 3 years.
The Cambrass PVC bibs are about 28 x 36 cm, with a PVC outer side and a polyester and cotton inner side. They are suitable from 0 months, washable at 30°C and some models have a food catcher. The Franck & Fischer Eat bibs are made of organic cotton with an acrylic coating, have a food catcher and measure about 23 x 30 cm. The nuuroo Luna bib is coated, about 78 x 42 cm and made of recycled polyester and polyurethane, for children from 1 to 4 years. The Babyono apron bib in EVA, about 33 x 40 cm, is wiped clean with a damp cloth and suitable from 2 years.
A silicone bib with a food catcher catches most leftovers and is rinsed clean under the tap in no time. The neck strap is adjustable, so the bib grows with your child.
Is your child starting to eat by themselves, paint or play with clay? Then a long sleeve bib is ideal. The b.box Smock Bib has adjustable neck and wrist bands and a pocket that falls over the edge of the table. It is made of polyester with a PU coating, free of BPA, phthalates and PVC, and machine washable. Choose from 6-18 months or the large size for 2-4 years. The Jollein bib with sleeves is water-resistant, suitable from 0 to 2 years and washable at 30°C. You will also find sleeved bibs from Smallstuff (1 to 4 years), Babyono (from 2 years, with Velcro) and Lässig (a set of 2, 6 to 24 months).
The b.box travel bib is made for days out: with a food catcher, a flexible silicone spoon, an adjustable neck strap and a loop to hang it on your bag or pram. The material is machine washable and dries quickly. The foldable Skip Hop bib also takes up little space in the changing bag.
A bib is meant for mealtimes. Take it off afterwards and never let your child sleep in a bib, including in the pram or car seat. Always stay with your child while they eat. Check silicone and coated bibs regularly for tears and replace them if they are damaged.
Always follow the care instructions. Fabric bibs are usually washed at 30 or 40°C, silicone bibs are rinsed under the tap with a little soap, and some can go in the dishwasher. Coated bibs are wiped with a damp cloth. Let everything dry well before putting it away. With a few bibs in the drawer, you always have a clean one to hand.
Bibs make a practical and fun baby gift, because you can never have too many. Also take a look at the bibs gift box or all our gifts. We are happy to gift-wrap your present.
Complete the meal with a placemat and a kids' bowl. You will find all bibs for eating and messing under eating & mess bibs, and everything for mealtimes under mealtime.
You use a bib as soon as your little one starts on solid food, usually around 6 months. Some fabric bibs are suitable from birth.
Rinse it under the tap with a little soap. Some silicone bibs can go in the dishwasher; check the product.
