Lässig is a German brand for babies and children that combines practical products with cheerful, fresh designs. Many products are made of organic cotton, bamboo or recycled materials. Sun hats with UV protection
The Lässig sun hats have a UV protection factor of 80 and are made of recycled polyester. They are reversible: a cheerful print outside, such as whales, sea animals or stripes, and a plain colour inside. A tie under the chin keeps the hat in place. There are two sizes: 46/49 for 6 to 18 months and 50/51 for 18 to 36 months. Folded, the hat is only half a centimetre thick, so it always fits in the changing bag or beach bag for when the sun comes out unexpectedly. Find more under kids' hats.
By the water
The UV beach poncho (60 x 120 cm, from 1 year) keeps your child warm after swimming and protects against the sun. Light, quick-drying and easy to put on. Also browse the other bath ponchos.
Bath time and care
After the bath you wrap your baby in a muslin hooded towel of 90 x 90 cm, suitable from birth to about 3 years. For wash mitts, choose from muslin wash mitts (pack of 3, 13 x 22 cm) and the cheerful Play wash mitts of organic cotton (GOTS) shaped like an animal, such as a shark. Fun to play with in the bath. Bibs
The Little Water bibs have an organic cotton front and a waterproof inner layer. There is a small size (26.5 x 21 cm, 0 to 12 months) and a medium size (38.5 x 28.5 cm, 6 to 24 months). The bandana bibs (40 x 19 cm, from 0 months) are also made of organic cotton. For big messes there are long-sleeve bibs (pack of 2, 80 x 36 cm, 6 to 24 months). Mealtime
- Bamboo plate with suction (17.5 x 14 x 3.5 cm, from 6 months): a bamboo plate with a silicone suction base. Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave.
- Silicone bowl (11.5 x 11.5 x 5.5 cm, from 6 months): with suction, made of food-grade silicone.
- Silicone placemat (50.6 x 36 cm, from 6 months): dishwasher safe.
- Kids' cutlery (from 12 months): stainless steel, as a 2-piece set (fork and spoon) or a 3-piece set with knife, dishwasher safe.

Lunch and drinks
The Lässig lunch sets consist of a Tritan drink bottle and a polypropylene lunch box, BPA-free and suitable from 3 years. There are also separate lunch boxes (17.7 x 13.4 x 7.3 cm, dishwasher safe) and 550 ml Tritan drink bottles with a straw, from 3 years. More under lunch and drink bottles.
Blankets and toys
The Heavenly Soft blanket of 100 x 100 cm is made of 70% bamboo viscose and 30% cotton, super soft and washable at 40 °C. Lovely in the pram or playpen. More under baby blankets. - From birth: hooded towels, wash mitts, swaddles, small bibs, bandanas and the soft blanket.
- From 6 months: the bamboo plate, silicone bowl and placemat, the medium bibs and long-sleeve bibs, and the sun hat in size 46/49.
- From 1 year: the kids' cutlery, the UV beach poncho and the sun hat in size 50/51.
- From 3 years: the lunch sets, lunch boxes and drink bottles for nursery or school.
Care
Preferably wash organic cotton textiles at a low temperature with a mild detergent, without fabric softener. The swaddles can go at 60 °C. Check the washing instructions for each product. Rinse plastic and silicone items such as the placemat, bowl and drink bottle with warm water; many of them are also dishwasher safe. Always wash the bamboo plate by hand and let it dry well.
Sustainable materials
Wherever possible, Lässig chooses more sustainable materials. The sun hats are made of recycled polyester, the bibs and wash mitts of organic cotton, and the plates and blankets partly of bamboo. So you make a conscious choice without compromising on style or convenience.
Tips for the sun
Baby skin is extra sensitive to the sun. Keep babies under one year out of direct sunlight as much as possible, seek shade between noon and 3pm and, besides a sun hat, use protective clothing and a sunscreen suitable for children. A hat with a wide brim also protects the neck and ears.
Using them safely
Always use plates, bowls and cutlery under supervision. Take bibs and bandanas off when your baby goes to sleep. In the first year, do not put a loose blanket in the cot; choose a sleeping bag instead.
