After a lovely bath you want to wrap your daughter up warm as quickly as possible. At Tiny Giggles you'll find bath essentials for girls in sweet prints and soft colours: hooded towels with a unicorn, flamingo or rainbow, bath ponchos with Miffy or Hello Kitty and soft bathrobes in light pink, honey yellow and green. From brands such as BimbiDreams, Jollein, Meyco, Pippi Babywear, Fixoni, Babyono and nuuroo. Below you can read what's available and what suits which age.
Hooded towels for the very youngest
A hooded towel keeps the head warm too. Under baby hooded towels you'll find for girls, among others:
- BimbiDreams: 100 x 100 cm hooded towels in 100% cotton, from newborn to 3 years, with themes such as Unicorn, Flamingo, Cottage in pink or white-pink, Kenia, Happy and Planet Green.
- Babyono Bamboo: the pink Unicorn hooded towel in bamboo and cotton, in 76 x 76 cm and 100 x 100 cm.
- Pippi Babywear: organic 83 x 83 cm hooded towels in Old Rose, Violet Ice and Mineral Yellow, for 0 to 2 years.
- Fixoni Infinity: in organic cotton, 80 x 80 cm, in Rose Dream and Antique White.
- Jollein: the 100 x 100 cm Rainbow Blush Pink hooded towel.
Bath ponchos for toddlers
Can your daughter walk around by herself after the bath? Then a poncho is handy: it goes straight over the head and her hands stay free. Under bath ponchos you'll find:
- Jollein: ponchos with Miffy (Miffy jacquard) in Wild Rose or Olive Green, and the Stripe Terry poncho with GOTS certification, for 1 to 4 years.
- Meyco Basic: in cotton terry in light pink, soft green and soft yellow, for 1 to 3 years. Soft and quick-drying.
- nuuroo Adelin: in organic cotton, in pink or green, for 1 to 4 years.
- Hello Kitty: a pink 60 x 120 cm poncho in cotton.
Bathrobes
Under bathrobes you'll find the Meyco Basic bathrobe in cotton terry in light pink, Honey Gold, Soft Yellow, Forest Green and Chocolate, washable at 40 °C. Jollein has a bathrobe in Pale Pink for 3 to 4 years, and Pippi Babywear organic bathrobes in Harbor Mist and mineral yellow in size 86/92.
Bath essentials for girls by age
- 0 to 1 year: a hooded towel from 76 x 76 to 100 x 100 cm.
- 1 to 2 years: a bigger hooded towel or a first bath poncho.
- 2 to 4 years: a bath poncho or bathrobe in the right size, such as size 86/92 or 3 to 4 years.
What do you need?
With two hooded towels you always have a dry one while the other is in the wash. Once your daughter is bigger, one bath poncho or bathrobe is usually enough, plus perhaps an extra poncho for the swim bag. You use wash mitts often, so a few sets are handy. That way a few good basics give you everything for the daily bath routine.
Dressing herself after the bath
Toddlers want to do a lot by themselves, after the bath too. Your daughter can often put on a poncho or bathrobe with a hood herself, especially with a little practice. That turns drying off into a moment when she can proudly show what she can already do, and keeps bath time relaxed for you both.
For every moment
- After the bath at home: a soft hooded towel or bathrobe to warm up in.
- Swimming lessons or the pool: a quick-drying poncho, such as the Meyco Basic, for the swim bag.
- Sleepovers: a poncho or bathrobe your daughter can put on herself, so she feels at home at grandma and grandpa's too.
- Beach and summer: a big poncho to snuggle into after playing in the water.
Colours and prints
Pink remains a favourite, such as Wild Rose, Old Rose, Pale Pink and Rose Dream. But there are cheerful alternatives too: the BimbiDreams flamingo and unicorn, Jollein rainbows, and soft yellow and green shades from Meyco, Pippi and nuuroo. Choose a print that matches the towels in the bathroom, or something cheerful your daughter likes herself. Her own hooded towel or poncho with her favourite animal makes bath time extra fun.
Prefer organic?
Then choose the Pippi Babywear hooded towels and bathrobes, the Fixoni Infinity hooded towels, the nuuroo Adelin poncho or the Jollein Stripe Terry poncho with GOTS certification. All in organic cotton, soft on sensitive baby skin.
Washing and drying
Wash bath linen before first use, so it becomes softer and more absorbent. Most hooded towels, bathrobes and ponchos can go in the washing machine at 30 or 40 °C; always check the label. Don't use too much detergent and skip the fabric softener, and hang everything up after use so it dries quickly and stays fresh.
A sweet baby gift
A hooded towel with a sweet print is a practical baby gift for a girl. Combine it with wash mitts and washcloths, or put together a complete box under gift boxes for girls. We are happy to gift-wrap your present.
More for bath time
All bath items are under bath articles and bathroom, care products under baby care. For brothers there are the bath articles for boys.
Safe in the bath
Never leave your baby alone in the bath, not even for a moment. Lay everything out before you start: the hooded towel, a wash mitt, a clean nappy and clothes. That way you don't need to walk away. Always check the temperature of the bath water before putting your baby in.
