Your little one hears your heartbeat, smells your familiar scent and can calmly look around, while you do the shopping, go for a walk or take the stairs. At Tiny Giggles you will find the Click Carrier baby carriers by ByKay. They are easy to put on, suitable from birth, and you can carry your baby on your front, on your hip or on your back.

Why carry your baby?

Babies love closeness. In a carrier your little one feels safe, and many babies calm down in one. For you it is practical: your hands are free and you can go anywhere a pram is awkward, such as on the bus, on a forest path, in a busy shop, while travelling or in a house with lots of stairs. A carrier is handy at home too, for example when your baby is unsettled and you still want to cook or tidy up.

The ByKay Click Carrier

The ByKay Click Carrier is a baby carrier that is quick and easy to put on. All models are made of OEKO-TEX certified fabric, are ASTM certified and can be used as a front, hip and back carrier. Choose from three versions.

Click Carrier Classic

The Classic is suitable from birth to about 2 years, up to around clothing size 86 and about 15 kg. With the attachment strap you can narrow the back panel for the smallest babies, or carry your child on your back. It comes with a free sleeping hood, for protection or as extra neck support. Choose Dark Jeans (cotton with linen) or the soft Ribbed Velvet Berry Red.

Click Carrier Deluxe

The Deluxe lasts longer: from birth to 3 years, up to around clothing size 104 and 18 kg. It has an adjustable back panel that grows with your child, a sturdy foam waist belt and a neck cord for extra support. Handy loops tidy away loose straps, and free foot rests are included. The Deluxe comes in Dark Jeans and Steel Grey.

Click Carrier Reversible

You can wear the Reversible on both sides: black or minty grey. So it goes with any outfit. It is made of 100% cotton, suitable from birth to about 2 years and 15 kg, and has loops for the straps and, like the Classic, an attachment strap.

Classic, Deluxe or Reversible?

• Want to carry for a long time? Choose the Deluxe: up to 3 years and 18 kg, with an adjustable back panel and foam waist belt.
• Looking for a simple carrier for the first two years? The Classic is quick to put on and has a sleeping hood.
• Like a bit of variety? With the Reversible you get two colours in one carrier.

On your front, hip or back

On your front you carry your baby facing you. This is the position for the first months: you can see your baby well and they feel safe against you.

On your hip your little one can look around more. Nice for babies who are a bit older and getting curious.

On your back you carry an older child, for example on a long walk. The weight is better distributed and your child can peek over your shoulder. Only start this once your child can hold their head up well on their own.

Safe babywearing

A baby carrier is safe when you use it correctly. Always keep these points in mind:

1. Tight: the carrier fits snugly, so your baby does not slump down.
2. In view: you can always see your baby's face when you look down.
3. Close enough to kiss: your baby sits high enough for you to kiss the top of their head.
4. Keep chin off chest: your baby's chin does not rest on their chest, so they can breathe freely.
5. Supported back: your baby's back is well supported in a natural position.

Make sure the legs are spread, with the knees slightly higher than the bottom. Check buckles and seams regularly, and always read the carrier's instructions.

Tips for first-time babywearers

• Practise the first few times with someone nearby, or over the bed.
• Choose a calm moment, when your baby has been fed and is not too tired.
• Start with short stretches and build up slowly.
• Dress your baby a little lighter: your body heat and the carrier count as a layer. You will find handy layers among our baby clothing.
• Use the sleeping hood in sun or wind, or when your baby falls asleep.

Handy on the go

Heading out with the carrier? Take a changing bag with everything you need, and a muslin cloth for drool or spit-up. With a pacifier clip the dummy stays within reach. Prefer carrying with a wrap? Washing and care

Always check the label of your carrier before washing. Close all fastenings before washing so nothing catches on the fabric, and let the carrier air-dry. After washing, check that all straps and buckles still work properly.

What is the difference between a baby carrier and a wrap?

A baby carrier has a fixed shape with straps and is quick to put on. A wrap is wound around your body; that takes a bit more practice, but is very flexible.
