Muslin: cloths, face cloths and wash mitts
Muslin cotton is soft, breathable and very absorbent. The Meyco multi-purpose cloths of 70 x 70 cm come in packs of 3 and are washable at 60 °C. Ideal as a burp cloth, changing mat cover or sunshade. The muslin starter set
Handy for the layette: the 9-piece Meyco muslin starter set contains muslin squares of 70 x 70 cm, face cloths of 30 x 30 cm and wash mitts of 20 x 17 cm. Made of 100% cotton, washable at 60 °C and tumble dryer safe. You get the basics for the first weeks in one go, and it makes a lovely baby gift too.
After the bath
After the bath you wrap your baby in a soft hooded towel. The Meyco hooded towels of 90 x 90 cm are suitable from birth to about 3 years, in muslin or in two layers. For toddlers and preschoolers there are terry bath ponchos, quick-drying and nice and warm after the bath or swimming, and bathrobes of 100% cotton, washable at 40 °C. Hooded towel, bath poncho or bathrobe?
A hooded towel is handiest for babies: you lay your little one on the towel, fold the hooded corner over the head and wrap the rest around the body. As soon as your child stands and walks, a bath poncho is nicer. You pull it over the head in one go, so your child is warm quickly after the bath or swimming. Older toddlers and preschoolers often love a real bathrobe with sleeves, just like mum or dad.
How many fitted sheets do you need?
Count on at least two waterproof fitted sheets per cot: one on the mattress and one in the wash. After a leaky nappy or a bit of spit-up you can change the cot quickly without the mattress getting wet. A waterproof sheet protects the mattress and makes it last longer.
Bibs and bandanas
The Meyco bibs and bandanas come in sets of two, in combinations such as Dots Animal with Dots Stone Green, Leopard with Dots Pink and Triangle with Little Clouds. Sleeping

Blankets

Sleeping safely
In the first year, a sleeping bag is the safest choice. If you do use a blanket in the cot, tuck it in well and place your baby with their feet against the foot end. Do not put a pillow, duvet, bumper or loose items in the cot. Always take bandanas and bibs off when your baby goes to sleep.
Combining beautifully
Meyco works with fixed colours and patterns that come back across different products. So you can combine a hooded towel with matching wash mitts, or bibs with face cloths in the same print. Calm colours such as stone green, old pink and grey suit almost any nursery.
Washing and care
Wash new muslin cloths before first use: afterwards they get softer and more absorbent. Use a mild detergent and leave out fabric softener. Muslin cloths, wash mitts and the starter set can go at 60 °C, bibs, face cloths and bathrobes at 40 °C. The molton fitted sheet can even go at 95 °C.
