Is your child a fan of Batman or Superman? Then a DC Comics backpack is the perfect bag for school, nursery or a day out. DC Comics is the American publisher of the best-known superheroes in the world, such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. At Tiny Giggles you will find cool backpacks with these heroes, from a small 3D backpack for preschoolers to a roomy backpack for primary school, and a Batman school kit you put together yourself. Below you can read what makes each bag special and how to choose the right one.
The DC Comics backpacks at a glance
- Batman 3D backpack with light: a blue and yellow backpack with a 3D Batman figure on the front. When your child touches the front, a light comes on. About 31 x 25 x 10 cm, with a zipped main compartment, a side pocket for a water bottle, adjustable shoulder straps and a loop on top. Made of polyester and EVA.
- Superman 3D backpack: a grey backpack with Superman in 3D, about 25 x 31 x 10 cm. With a zipped main compartment, adjustable shoulder straps and a loop to hang it up. A nice size for preschoolers and young schoolchildren.
- Colourful Batman backpack: a larger backpack of about 30 x 41 x 14 cm with a colourful Batman print, a zipped main compartment and a front pocket for small items. Suitable from about 8 years, which makes it ideal for the older years of primary school.
You will also find all Batman backpacks together under Batman backpacks.
Which DC Comics backpack suits your child?
- For toddlers or preschoolers: the Superman 3D backpack or the Batman 3D backpack, small and light enough for a snack box, a drinking bottle and a set of spare clothes.
- Always a bottle at hand: the Batman 3D backpack with a side pocket for the water bottle.
- For primary school: the colourful Batman backpack, with enough room for a folder, books, a lunch box and a pencil case.
- Extra cool: the Batman 3D backpack with a light, a real eye-catcher in the playground.
The right size
A backpack is most comfortable when it matches the length of your child's back. Small children get the most out of a compact backpack: the 3D backpacks of about 31 cm high are a good size for them. For older children who need to carry more, such as books and a folder, a larger backpack of about 41 cm high is handier. Preferably let your child try the backpack on with a few things inside: that way you can see straight away whether the size is right.
How to wear the backpack properly
Adjust the shoulder straps so the backpack sits high on the back and the bottom does not hang below the waist. Two straps over the shoulders spread the weight better than one strap over one shoulder. Put heavy items as close to the back as possible. Every day, take out what does not need to be in the bag, such as old notes or empty packaging, so the bag does not get heavier than necessary.
A complete Batman school kit
Want everything in the same style? With the Batman school kit you put together your own set with a backpack, a lunch bag, a gym bag, a pencil case, a lunch box, a snack box and a water bottle. Everything is optional, and you can have the kit gift-wrapped with a personal card. Choose 2 items and get 5% off, 3 items 10% and 4 or more items 15%. You will find more themes under create a school kit.
Complete the school gear
A new backpack often comes with more things. Take a look at our lunch boxes for boys, water bottles for boys and lunch bags. With their own pencil case, pencils do not roll around loose in the bag, and a gym bag keeps sports gear separate from school things. You will find more backpacks under backpacks for boys and all bags for school under backpacks and school bags.
Also a Marvel fan?
Does your child love superheroes in general? Under Marvel you will find backpacks, lunch bags and more with heroes such as Spider-Man, the Avengers and Captain America. That way your child can choose from the heroes of both DC Comics and Marvel.
Enjoying the backpack for a long time
A school bag is used every day. So check now and then whether the zips still run smoothly and the seams and shoulder straps are still strong. Hang the bag up by its loop after school instead of dropping it on the floor. Empty the backpack completely now and then, shake it out and wipe the inside with a damp cloth. Treat stains on the outside carefully with a damp cloth and a little soap. With the 3D backpacks, do not rub the figure too hard, so it stays nice. Let a wet backpack dry open, not on the radiator.
Tips for the first school day
Write your child's name in the backpack, so it does not get mixed up with a classmate's. Pack the bag together the evening before, so the morning starts calmly. Let your child practise opening and closing the zips themselves, so they can get to their things in class on their own. A backpack with their favourite superhero makes the first school day all the more exciting.
