In a lunch bag your child takes the lunch box, a water bottle and a snack neatly to school, daycare or on a day out. Many lunch bags are insulated, so food stays cool and fresh for longer. At Tiny Giggles you will find lunch bags from 3 Sprouts, Zip & Zoe, Skip Hop and Sass & Belle, and lunch bags with Marvel heroes, Frozen, Minnie Mouse, Spider-Man and Paw Patrol. Below you can read which lunch bag suits your child and how to keep it clean.
Why a lunch bag?
Such a bag keeps everything for lunch together and separates food from the school things in the backpack. If something leaks, books and drawings stay dry. An insulated lunch bag also holds the temperature better, so sandwiches, fruit and yoghurt stay nice and cool on a warm day. Many children simply love having their own bag for lunch.

Which lunch bag do you choose?
- For toddlers and preschoolers: a compact bag, such as the Skip Hop Zoo Lunchie or a Minnie Mouse or Paw Patrol lunch bag.
- For a big lunch: a roomy 3 Sprouts bag, with room for a sandwich box, fruit and a drink.
- For warm days: an insulated bag or the Zip & Zoe Zipped Lunchie with ice pack.
- For superhero fans: a Marvel or Spider-Man lunch bag.
Also check that your child's lunch box and water bottle fit in the bag. Measure them and compare with the dimensions.
Packing smartly
Put the lunch box flat at the bottom of the bag, with the water bottle upright next to it or in the side pocket. A small snack box often fits on top. If you use an ice pack, place it on top of or next to the food, as cold sinks downwards. Ideally pack lunch in the morning, or put the filled lunch box in the fridge the evening before.
Cool and fresh
An insulated bag holds the temperature longer, but works best together with an ice pack. The Zip & Zoe Zipped Lunchie already comes with one. Separate ice packs and other parts are under accessories and parts for lunch boxes. On very hot days you can also add a frozen juice box, which cools the food and has thawed by lunchtime.
Cleaning and care
Empty the bag every day and leave it open for a while to air. Wipe away crumbs and stains with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let the bag air dry. With the Zip & Zoe and Skip Hop bags this is extra easy thanks to the water-repellent or wipeable fabric. Always check the label for specific washing instructions.
Complete the lunch set
A lunch bag goes nicely with a matching lunch box or bento lunch box, a water bottle and a snack box. More bags are under bags, and everything for the new school year under school. Buying several school items at once? With create a school kit you get 5% off on 2 items, 10% on 3 items and 15% on 4 or more.
Reusable and sustainable
With a regular bag and a good lunch box, you no longer need plastic bags or foil. That saves waste every day, and the bag lasts for years if you look after it well. Many children also use the same bag for a day out, a sports day or a school trip.
Tip: add a name
At school there are often lots of lunch bags together. Put your child's name on or in the bag, and on the lunch box and water bottle too. That way everything comes back home.
