Looking for school accessories for kids? At Tiny Giggles you will find everything your son or daughter needs for a happy start to the school year: sturdy backpacks for boys and backpacks for girls, practical lunch boxes and bento lunch boxes, leak-proof water bottles and colourful pencil cases. Whether you are doing your back to school shopping for nursery, kindergarten or primary school, or just need some new school stuff halfway through the year: the right school supplies make every school day a little easier, for your child and for you.
A new school year is a big moment for children. Their own school bag, a lunch box with their favourite print and a water bottle they can open by themselves give them confidence and make saying goodbye at the school gate just a bit easier. That is why we choose school accessories that not only look great, but also last the whole school year.
Our School collection contains hundreds of products, neatly sorted into categories:
The backpack is the most important part of your child's school supplies, because they carry it every day. Pay particular attention to the size. For toddlers and preschoolers a small backpack is ideal: big enough for a lunch box, a water bottle and a spare pair of trousers, but not so big that it bumps against the back of their knees. Children from around six years old usually carry more, such as a reading book, a folder or their PE kit, and benefit from a larger school bag with several compartments.
A useful rule of thumb: a packed school bag should ideally weigh no more than about ten percent of your child's body weight. Choose a backpack with adjustable, padded shoulder straps and always wear it over both shoulders. Reflective details are a nice extra during the dark winter months, and a name label on the inside prevents mix-ups in the classroom.
Looking for school supplies for boys or for girls? At Tiny Giggles you can choose from cheerful prints and cool designs: from animals and unicorns to superheroes from Marvel and favourite characters from Disney. Want to sort everything out in one go? Create your own school kit with a matching backpack, lunch box and water bottle. For PE lessons, our gym bags are light and easy to hang on a coat peg.
A good lunch box keeps sandwiches in one piece and is easy for little hands to open. If you like to give your child a varied lunch, a bento lunch box is a smart choice. Thanks to the separate compartments, sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and a treat stay neatly apart. The b.box lunch box, for example, has a large compartment for a whole sandwich or bagel and a gel cooler that keeps food cool and fresh for longer. Yumbox lunch boxes are known for their leak-proof compartments, so yoghurt or a piece of melon can come along too.
For snacks, small snack boxes and fruit containers are very handy: they fit in any backpack and your child can open them during break time. Does your child prefer a warm lunch, such as pasta or soup? An insulated food jar keeps food at the right temperature for hours. The b.box insulated food jar keeps food warm for up to 5 hours and cold for up to 7 hours.
Complete the lunch set with an insulated lunch bag. It keeps lunch cool and gives everything its own place: the 3 Sprouts lunch bags, for example, have a large main compartment, a side pocket for a water bottle and a name label on the inside.
Drinking enough helps children concentrate in class. So choose a water bottle that your child can open and close by themselves and that does not leak in their backpack. In our kids' water bottles collection you will find bottles with a straw or a spout, in sizes that suit your child's age. Many bottles are made from BPA-free plastic such as Tritan and are light enough to carry all day.
Does your child love ice-cold water, or like something warm to drink in winter? Then an insulated bottle is a good choice. The b.box insulated drink bottles are double-walled stainless steel: the 500 ml version keeps drinks cold for up to 15 hours or warm for up to 8 hours. Browse all bottles for the full range, including replacement straws and spouts.
Besides the backpack and lunch box, a few smaller school supplies complete the set. A sturdy pencil case keeps pencils, felt-tip pens and an eraser together, so nothing gets lost in the drawer. A separate gym bag is handy for PE: trainers and sports clothes stay away from the books. In our bags collection you will also find lunch bags and small crossbody bags for trips and after-school care.
We work with brands we trust ourselves. b.box is known for clever lunch boxes and drink bottles that children can use on their own. Carl Oscar makes colourful lunch boxes and food containers, and Skip Hop is loved for its cheerful animal backpacks and matching lunch bags. For fun water bottles, take a look at Quokka, and Kidzroom has backpacks and bags with beautiful prints. A fan of a particular character? Combine a backpack, lunch box and water bottle from Disney or Marvel into a complete set.
The basics are a backpack or school bag, a lunch box, a water bottle and a pencil case. Older children often need a gym bag as well. Ask the school whether they have any specific requirements, such as a maximum bag size.
For toddlers and preschoolers, choose a small backpack that is no wider than their back and does not hang below their hips. Older children need more room for books and folders. You will find the dimensions on every product page, so you can compare.
Use an insulated lunch bag or a lunch box with a cooling pack. Put the cooling pack in the freezer overnight and add it to the lunch in the morning. An insulated food jar keeps cold or warm meals at the right temperature for hours.
