Want to divide your child's lunch box even more cleverly? With the silicone bento cups from MontiiCo you easily keep dip, fruit, nuts and vegetables apart. At Tiny Giggles you will find the MontiiCo Bento Silicone Cups in four lovely colour sets: Calypso, Dusk, Pine and Reef. They are reusable, BPA-free and fit perfectly in the compartments of a Yumbox. Below you can read how to use them, what fits in them and how to clean them.
MontiiCo makes lunch and drink products for children and adults, with attention to quality, sustainability and beautiful colours. The idea is simple: reusable products that are used again and again, so less disposable packaging is needed. The bento cups fit that idea perfectly. Instead of plastic bags or tubs with lids, you use sturdy silicone cups that last for years.
Each set consists of three cups:
The cups are made of 100% food-grade platinum silicone and are BPA-free. The flexible zigzag edges fit various lunch boxes, and the cups fit perfectly in all Yumbox trays.
The cups come in four sets: Calypso, Dusk, Pine and Reef. Choose the colours that go with your child's lunch box, or combine different sets for a colourful lunch. Because each set has three cups, two sets are enough to divide a whole lunch box.
The cups are especially handy in a Yumbox. The compartments of a Yumbox are already sealed leak-proof, but with a silicone cup you add an extra division within a compartment. That way you can fit hummus and cucumber in one compartment without them running together. They also work well in other bento lunch boxes and regular lunch boxes: the flexible edges adapt to the space.
Putting small portions in separate cups makes lunch look clear and appealing. Children often eat better from a lunch with lots of small, different bites.
Silicone is soft and flexible, yet sturdy. The cups don't break easily if they fall on the floor, and they bend along when you fill the lunch box. Because the material is smooth, little sticks to it and the cups are easy to clean. Food-grade silicone is intended for contact with food, so you can fill them with dips, fruit and snacks with peace of mind.
The MontiiCo cups are dishwasher-safe up to 45 °C and also easy to wash by hand with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Silicone is supple and strong, so the cups don't break easily. Let them dry well after washing before storing them. Keep them with the lunch box, so they're right at hand in the morning. If there was an oily sauce in it, rinse the cup straight after the meal.
Packing a lunch every day with plastic bags or foil creates a lot of waste over a school year. With reusable cups and a good lunch box you throw away much less. The MontiiCo cups are designed to be used again and again, helping to reduce waste. And you don't have to keep buying new packaging. That saves money, space in the kitchen drawer and lots of rubbish in the bin. Your child also learns early on that things can last a long time.
The cups are a handy addition to a lunch set. For a lunch box, look at bento lunch boxes for girls and bento lunch boxes for boys, or the lunch boxes from Sugarbooger and b.box. Small snack boxes and fruit containers are handy for a snack. Keep lunch cool in a lunch bag. More spare parts and extras are under accessories and parts for lunch boxes, and everything for lunch under lunch.
A healthy lunch consists of something nourishing, such as bread, a wrap or pasta, plus fruit or vegetables and a little extra. Let your child help choose what goes into the cups, and they often eat better. Vary regularly, so lunch stays exciting. And keep portions small: a lunch box that comes back empty feels good for everyone. Don't forget a drink, preferably water.
