• Super Soft: with super-soft, ultra-thin synthetic bristles of about 0.1 mm, in blue with a balloon print.

The Tigex brush and comb

The Tigex set has a brush with flexible, ultra-soft bristles and a comb with rounded teeth. The handles are made of two materials, soft and flexible, so they are comfortable to hold. Available in blue and in red.

Natural or synthetic bristles?

Natural bristles are very soft and feel familiar to many parents. Synthetic, ultra-thin bristles are also super soft and easy to keep clean. Both are suitable from birth. A comb with rounded teeth is handy for gently combing out tangles or making a parting once the hair gets longer. Above all, choose what feels comfortable in your hand, and a colour or little figure that matches the rest of your baby things. How to brush your baby's hair

Baby hair is fine and the scalp is still sensitive, so always brush gently, without pressure. Brush from front to back or from the crown outwards, the way the hair grows. Right after the bath often works well: the hair is then slightly damp and easy to style. Many babies find gentle brushing relaxing, so it becomes a lovely moment together.

Baby hair in the first years

Every baby is different: one is born with plenty of hair, another is almost bald. In the first months, the first hair often partly falls out, especially where your baby's head rests on the mattress. Many babies get cradle cap in the first months: yellow or white flakes on the scalp. It is usually harmless and goes away by itself. A soft brush can help to gently brush away loose flakes after washing. Never pull or scratch the flakes off. Is the scalp red or inflamed, or are you worried? Then ask your health visitor or GP for advice.

Cleaning

Remove loose hairs from the brush after brushing. Wash the brush and comb regularly in warm water with a little baby shampoo, rinse well and let them air-dry with the bristles facing down. Use your baby's set only for your baby; that is the most hygienic. Take the set along on holiday or when staying with the grandparents too: it is small enough for any toiletry bag or changing bag.
