A few cheerful cushions instantly make a kids room cosy and personal. At Tiny Giggles you will find decorative kids cushions in fun shapes, such as stars, moons, clouds and triangles, cushion sets with themes like Unicorn, Cool Zoo and Planet, and adorable animal cushions. They are by BimbiDreams, Petit Monkey and Sass & Belle, and give every room a soft, playful look.
A kids room is a place to sleep, but also to play, read and dream. Soft decorative pieces make a corner on the floor, a bench or a window seat instantly cosy. Children use them to lean against during story time, as a soft seat while they play or simply to cuddle. And because they come in so many shapes and colours, you can easily create a style of your own.
The BimbiDreams shapes measure about 35 x 35 cm and have a cotton cover with a polyester filling. Choose from:
Combine a star, a moon and a cloud in the same colour for a calm look, or choose different colours for a cheerful mix.
Want a complete look in one go? Then choose a BimbiDreams set of three, each about 30 x 30 cm, with a cotton and polyester cover. There are sets in the themes Unicorn, Cool Zoo, Happy Days, Kenya, Leon, Planet Green and Planet Pink. They go beautifully with the other BimbiDreams baby textiles in the same theme, such as bedding and baby blankets. There is also a rectangular cushion with the Africa theme.
These are decorative cushions for the kids room, not meant for sleeping on. Do not put cushions in a baby's cot or crib: a baby sleeps most safely on their back, on a firm mattress, without pillows, soft toys or loose blankets. So use them as decoration on a shelf, a chair or in a play corner, and only as a soft seat or reading spot once your child is older.
Keep the room tidy with storage baskets for toys and cushions, and a cheerful laundry basket for clothes.
Children love having a corner of their own. A soft rug, a few soft shapes to lean against and a basket of books: that is all you need to turn an empty corner into a favourite spot. There your child can quietly read a book, play with soft toys or wind down after a busy day at school. Let your child help choose the shapes and colours, so it really feels like their own place.
Tip: let your child arrange the corner themselves now and then. Moving things around keeps the spot exciting, and children enjoy creating a new hideaway with the same soft shapes.
Soft shades such as beige, white and eucalyptus bring calm to a bedroom. Want more colour? Choose one accent colour, such as ochre or pink, and repeat it in a blanket, a basket or a lamp. That way the room stays cheerful without becoming busy. If you change style later, simply swap a few accessories instead of redecorating the whole room. That way the room grows with your child.
They are used a lot and so often get dirty. Most BimbiDreams cushions can be machine washed at 30 °C. Wash the Petit Monkey ones by hand, cold or at up to 30 degrees, and do not tumble dry them. Let everything dry well after washing and plump it up afterwards so the filling stays evenly spread. Always check the care label.
Something soft for the room makes a lovely gift for a new baby, a birthday or a new kids room. A star cushion or a themed set of three instantly completes the room. Combine it with a cuddly toy or a night light for a complete gift, and have it wrapped festively with our wrapping service. You will find more gift ideas among our toys and in our bed textiles collection.
