From the first bite to eating with a fork and spoon by themselves: a lot happens at the table in the first years. At Tiny Giggles you'll find everything you need for it: kids' tableware such as plates and bowls with suction, training cups, kids' cutlery, bibs, placemats and fresh food feeders. From brands such as b.box, nuuroo, Eco Rascals, Mushie, Bo Jungle, Minikoioi, Lässig, Skip Hop, NUK and Squiz. Below you can read what's available per category and what suits which age.
Plates and bowls
Under children's plates and kids' bowls you'll find tableware that can take a knock. Many models have a suction base, so the plate stays put on a smooth, dry and clean surface, such as the table or the high chair tray.
- nuuroo: silicone plates and bowls in food-grade silicone (LFGB), microwave and dishwasher safe, such as the 20 x 20 cm Mingo plate with suction.
- Eco Rascals: bamboo plates with a removable silicone suction base, and a 21.6 cm silicone divided plate with divider, for 6 months to 5 years.
- Bo Jungle: the silicone B-Suction plate with a bear, suitable for microwave, oven (up to 220 °C) and dishwasher.
- Mushie and Lässig: silicone bowls with suction, from 6 months.
Kids' dinnerware sets
Prefer everything at once? Under kids' dinnerware sets you'll find complete sets, such as the nuuroo Lykke dinner set with plate, bowl, cup and spoon, or the Minikoioi set with a suction plate, bib and spoon in silicone. A set also makes a lovely baby gift or a present around the first bites.
Cups and training cups
Learning to drink happens step by step. Under kids' cups and mugs you'll find, among others:
- b.box Sippy Cup (from 6 months): with a weighted straw that moves with the liquid, so your child can drink even when the cup is tilted. With a flip-top lid and easy handles.
- b.box Training Cup (from 12 months): the lid channels liquid to the rim, so your child learns to drink as from a regular cup, with a window to see how much is left. Capacity 240 ml.
- nuuroo: 145 ml silicone cups in packs of 2, microwave and dishwasher safe.
Does your child like drinking with a loose straw? Then see straws.
Kids' cutlery
Under kids' cutlery you'll find spoons for first bites and complete sets for learning to eat:
- First bites: the soft silicone spoons from Bo Jungle (from 4 months) and the extra-long NUK spoons for food jars (from 6 months).
- Learning to eat: three-piece sets with fork, spoon and knife from Eco Rascals, Sophie la Girafe, Bo Jungle and Lässig, with rounded fork tines and knives for little mouths.
- From 3 years: the Skip Hop Zootensils, with stainless steel heads and soft sides for a good grip.
Bibs
Mess is part of it. Under mealtime bibs you'll find bibs with a catch pocket, in silicone or waterproof cotton, and under long sleeve bibs bibs that also protect the arms. All models are under bibs.
Fresh food feeders and squeeze pouches
Under fresh food feeders you'll find the b.box Fresh Food Feeder (from 4 months), with an easy-grip handle, a protective cap and two extra mesh bags. From Squiz there are reusable squeeze pouches with a large opening at the bottom for easy filling and cleaning, and snack bags in three sizes. Always use fresh food feeders and the Squiz top under adult supervision.
Placemats
A silicone placemat keeps the table clean and stops plates sliding around. There are placemats from nuuroo (40 x 30 cm), Mushie (43 x 20 cm, from 6 months) and Petit Monkey (46.5 x 32 cm), in food-safe silicone. After the meal you wipe or rinse the placemat, and it's ready for the next meal straight away.
Choosing kids' tableware by age
- 4 to 6 months: soft spoons and a fresh food feeder for the first tastes.
- 6 to 12 months: a plate or bowl with suction, a sippy cup and a mealtime bib.
- 12 months to 3 years: a training cup, a divided plate and a first cutlery set.
- From 3 years: cutlery such as the Zootensils, and tableware with a fun print.
Which material?
- Silicone: soft, unbreakable and often with suction. Many models are microwave and dishwasher safe.
- Bamboo: a natural material, as in the Eco Rascals plates.
- Stainless steel: for the heads of kids' cutlery, strong and easy to clean.
Check the care instructions for each product: not everything can go in the microwave or oven.
Cleaning and drying
Most plates, cups and cutlery are dishwasher safe. For bottles and straw cups a brush is handy; see bottle brushes. Let everything dry well on a drying rack for baby bottles, such as the Bo Jungle B-Bottle Rack, which holds 12 bottles, teats and rings.
Tips for relaxed mealtimes
- Always let your child sit upright in the high chair and stay with them while they eat.
- Give small portions; you can always add more.
- Let your child try by themselves, even if it gets a bit messy. That's how they learn fastest.
- Eat together; children learn a lot by copying.

Many models can, such as those from nuuroo and Bo Jungle. Check the care instructions for each product.
What is a sippy cup?

Why a plate with suction?
