Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man and the whole Avengers team: with a Marvel backpack your child takes their favourite superheroes to school, daycare or on holiday. At Tiny Giggles you will find Marvel backpacks for every age, from small 3D backpacks for toddlers to cool school bags with a laptop compartment for teens. Below you can read which backpack suits which age, what the differences are and how to adjust the backpack properly.
3D backpacks for toddlers and preschoolers
For the littlest superheroes there are 3D backpacks where the hero really seems to jump off the bag. Most are suitable from 3 years and about 26 x 31 x 11 cm.
- Spider-Man: the Small 3D, the Ways 3D, the Funhouse 3D and the red 3D backpack, also as a set with a matching water bottle.
- Captain America: the 3D backpack, the 3D backpack Punch with a pocket for the water bottle, and a red-white-blue 3D backpack.
- Iron Man 3D with light: a red backpack with a light that switches on when you touch the front, with a zipped main compartment and a water bottle pocket.
- Avengers Save The Day 3D: a blue 3D backpack with the Avengers.
Small backpacks for preschoolers
A little older and needing a bit more room? Then choose a small Marvel backpack with a front pocket:
- Avengers Amazing Team Mini: about 28 x 22 x 10 cm, grey and black.
- Avengers Amazing Team Small: about 31 x 25 x 9 cm, with a front pocket.
- Spider-Man It's Me Again: navy, about 31 x 22 x 9 cm, with a front pocket.
Medium backpacks
For primary school children, the medium backpacks of about 35 x 27 x 18 cm are ideal. They have a main compartment, a front pocket and two side pockets for a water bottle. The Avengers Safety Shield is suitable from 4 years, the Avengers Power Team from 8 years, and the blue Avengers Armor Up is also this size.
Large backpacks from 10 years
For older children and teens there are roomy Marvel backpacks, suitable from 10 years. There's plenty of room for school books, a lunch box and sports kit:
- Spider-Man Protector and Be Strong: about 44 to 45 cm high, with a main compartment and front pocket.
- Avengers Amazing Team, Devoted To Protect and Teen: roomy backpacks in grey, black or green.
- Avengers Army Green HS and Captain America Grey HS: cool backpacks of about 31 x 44 x 18 cm.
- Captain America backpack and Avengers Troupe HS: with a (padded) laptop compartment, handy for secondary school.
- Captain America Eco: with a main compartment, front pocket and side pocket.
For teens from 15 there is also the Avengers Casual Travel backpack, a flat backpack for on the go.
Which Marvel backpack do you choose?
- 3 to 5 years: a 3D backpack or the Amazing Team Mini.
- 4 to 8 years: a small or medium backpack, such as Safety Shield or Amazing Team Small.
- 8 to 10 years: the Avengers Power Team or another medium backpack.
- 10 years and older: a large backpack, possibly with a laptop compartment.
A good backpack is no wider than your child's shoulders and doesn't hang below the waist. If in doubt, go slightly smaller rather than too big.
Adjusting the backpack properly
All Marvel backpacks have adjustable shoulder straps and a loop at the top. Adjust the straps so the backpack sits close to the back and doesn't swing. Always let your child wear the backpack over both shoulders. Put the heaviest things, such as books and the lunch box, at the back of the main compartment, close to the back. Check the straps again now and then, as children grow fast.
What goes in?
Pack the backpack together with your child. For daycare or preschool, a lunch box, a water bottle and a set of spare clothes is usually enough. At primary school, a pencil case, a book and sometimes PE kit are added. That way your child learns to take responsibility for their own things and knows exactly where everything is.
Choose your favourite hero
Is your child a fan of one hero in particular? All Spider-Man backpacks are also under Spider-Man backpacks, and the Iron Man backpacks under Iron Man backpacks. More superheroes are under Marvel. Prefer a DC hero? Then take a look at the Batman backpacks.
Complete the set
Combine the Marvel backpack with a matching pencil case, a lunch box, a water bottle, a lunch bag and a gym bag. Buying several school items at once? With create a school kit you get 5% off on 2 items, 10% on 3 items and 15% on 4 or more.
More backpacks
All backpacks for boys are under boys' backpacks, and the full range under backpacks and school bags. Travelling? A trolley backpack can be pulled and carried. Everything for the new school year is under school.
Cleaning and care
Empty the backpack completely now and then and shake out the crumbs. Wipe away stains with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let the backpack dry open. With the Iron Man backpack with light, keep the light dry. Write your child's name on the inside of the bag, so it doesn't get lost among all the other superheroes on the coat hooks.
