Bamboo, cotton or organic cotton?
- Bamboo with cotton: the Babyono cloths are 70% bamboo fibre. According to the description, that feels very soft and supple, almost like silk.
- Cotton: the Meyco and Pippi cloths are 100% cotton. Cotton is breathable, absorbs moisture well and can be washed at 60 °C.
- Organic cotton: the nuuroo Barri is made of organic cotton muslin. Wash it at 30 °C.
All cloths are suitable from birth. In doubt? Choose cotton if you often want to wash at a high temperature, and bamboo if softness comes first.
Babyono bamboo

Pippi: large sets
Want enough cloths at home straight away? The sets from Pippi Babywear contain 6 or 8 muslin cloths of 70 x 70 cm. Maroon Red combines white with dark red and pink, Baroque Rose white with pink and red. They're 100% cotton and can go at 60 °C.
What do you use them for?
Use a muslin cloth as a burp cloth over the shoulder, as a clean surface on the changing table, to wipe a little mouth or to dry your baby. The large nuuroo cloth is handy as a play mat. Because they're light, you always take a few in the changing bag.
Using them safely
Don't use a muslin cloth as a loose blanket in the cot or crib: in the first year nothing loose belongs in bed, and a baby sleeping bag is the safest choice. Don't drape a cloth over the pram to block the sun either, because it can quickly get too warm underneath. Use the cloths while your baby is awake and supervised.
In the changing bag
A muslin cloth is light and takes up little space. Always pop one or two in the changing bag: as a burp cloth during a visit, as a clean surface when changing or to dry little hands. A pink cloth is also easy to find among your other things.
