With a straw, a sports spout or insulated so the water stays cold all day: among the drink bottles for boys at Tiny Giggles you'll find more than sixty bottles from brands including b.box, Quokka, Carl Oscar, Petit Monkey and Kidzroom. So much choice can make choosing tricky. That's why we list the types below, with the age, capacity and how to clean them.
Drink bottles for boys: which type?
- With a straw: easy drinking, even for young children.
- With a sports spout: quick drinking while playing or doing sport.
- Insulated: keeps drinks cold for hours, some also warm.
- Light Tritan bottles: clear, light and strong.
Bottles with a straw
The b.box Tritan Drink Bottle comes in 450 ml (from 9 months) and 600 ml (from 4 years). The triangular shape fits well in two small hands, the lid pops open at the press of a button and clicks into place, and the bite valve prevents spills. The bent straw works even when the bottle is tilted. The Skip Hop Zoo Straw Bottle Fox (380 ml, from 18 months) and the Zip & Zoe Straw Bottle Spaceman are nice for toddlers. The Sass & Belle Drink up Aiko Panda (400 ml) has a straw in the spout. More is under straw bottles for boys.
Bottles with a sports spout
The b.box Sport Spout Drink Bottle (450 or 600 ml) has a silicone spout that doesn't need squeezing, a valve against spills and a flexible carry handle. It also has the triangular shape and a removable bumper. The Quokka Quick Sip Space (830 ml) has a quick-open system with a protective cap. The Carl Oscar Water Bottle (500 ml, stainless steel) with a dolphin or camel has a fold-out spout in the cap and, according to the manufacturer, is 100% leak-proof. More of these are under Carl Oscar drink bottles for boys.

Light Tritan bottles
The Quokka Ice bottles are made of Tritan: strong, clear and very light. The Ice Kids (430 ml) is meant for younger children, the Ice in 570 or 840 ml for school children. Thanks to the double screw opening you can easily add ice cubes or pieces of fruit. The Carl Oscar Drink Bottle (350 ml, Tritan) has handy carry handles and is made for younger children.
Stainless steel without insulation
The Kidzroom drink bottles (350 ml, from 3 years) are stainless steel, with prints such as Beary Excited, Small Talk Dino, Small Talk Aeroplanes and Sweet Cuddles Car. The Petit Monkey Drink Bottle Panda Love (350 ml) has a drinking spout. The green Sass & Belle Stainless Steel Water Bottle has a bamboo finish on the lid.
b.box in lots of colours
The b.box bottles come in cool colours such as Blue Slate, Ocean Breeze, Blue Blaze, Emerald Forest, Graphite and Midnight, and in cheerful shades such as Lemon Sherbet, Lemon Twist and Chill Out. That makes it easy to choose a bottle that matches the lunchbox or backpack.
Which bottle for which age?
- From 9 to 18 months: b.box Tritan 450 ml, b.box Insulated 350 ml or Skip Hop Zoo.
- Toddlers and preschoolers: a straw bottle or a small bottle of 350 to 450 ml, such as Kidzroom or Quokka Ice Kids.
- School children: 500 to 600 ml, with straw, spout or insulation.
- Sporty kids and big drinkers: Quokka Ice or Quick Sip, up to 840 ml.
Cleaning
Always read the instructions for each bottle. According to the manufacturer, the b.box bottles can go in the top rack of the dishwasher; the Kidzroom, Skip Hop and Zip & Zoe bottles are dishwasher-safe too. The Quokka bottles are not suitable for the dishwasher, and Petit Monkey recommends hand washing. Remove straws and spouts and clean them with warm soapy water. A bottle brush helps with narrow openings. Broken or lost a part? See the spare parts for drink bottles.
Tips for drinking enough
Children often forget to drink when they're busy playing. A bottle with a favourite print or colour helps: they reach for it more often. At school, put the bottle on the desk instead of in the bag, and on warm days pack an insulated bottle with cold water.
In the school bag
Put the bottle upright in the side pocket of the backpack, or in the lunch bag next to the lunchbox. Always close valves and spouts properly before the bottle goes in the bag. A bottle with a carry handle or strap can also hang on the backpack.
