b.box insulated drink bottles
The b.box bottles are made of double-walled stainless steel and free from BPA, phthalates and PVC. They have an integrated carry handle and can go in the top rack of the dishwasher.
- Insulated drink bottle 350 ml (from 12 months): with a silicone straw, keeps drinks cold for up to 8 hours or warm for up to 6 hours. In Blue Slate, Chill Out, Emerald Forest, Lemon Sherbet and Lemon Twist.
- Insulated drink bottle 500 ml: with a silicone straw, keeps drinks cold for up to 15 hours or warm for up to 8 hours. In Blue Blaze, Blue Slate, Emerald Forest, Lemon Sherbet, Midnight and Ocean Breeze.
- Insulated sport spout bottle 500 ml: with a soft silicone spout for free-flowing drinking, and a lid that keeps the spout covered and hygienic. Leak-proof when the lid is closed, also up to 15 hours cold or 8 hours warm. In Blue Slate, Emerald Forest, Midnight and Ocean Breeze.

Quokka stainless steel bottles
The Quokka bottles are for children who already drink a bit more. They have special vacuum insulation of double-walled stainless steel and are free from BPA.
- Solid Deep Sea (510 ml, blue) and Solid Tropical (630 ml): keep drinks cold for up to 18 hours (or 48 hours with ice) or warm for up to 12 hours.
- Spring Bondi (600 ml, green): keeps drinks cold for up to 18 hours (or 24 hours with ice).
The Quokka bottles are not suitable for the microwave or dishwasher; wash them by hand.
Petit Monkey
The Petit Monkey thermos bottles in Drops Blue and Drops Green are made of stainless steel, hold 350 ml and keep the contents cool for 12 hours. They close with an easy screw cap, and a silicone ring on the bottom gives extra protection. There's also a 350 ml stainless steel drink bottle with a cheerful Panda Love print and a handy drinking spout. Petit Monkey recommends washing the bottles by hand, so the print stays nice.
Kidzroom stainless steel bottles
For preschoolers there are the 350 ml stainless steel drink bottles from Kidzroom, suitable from 3 years: Small Talk with a dino or planes, Sweet Cuddles with a car and Beary Excited with a teddy bear face. They measure 21 x 7 x 7 cm, are made of stainless steel and polypropylene and are dishwasher safe. They are not suitable for the microwave or freezer.

- From 12 months: the b.box insulated drink bottle of 350 ml with straw.
- Toddlers and preschoolers (from 3 years): the Kidzroom 350 ml bottles or a Petit Monkey 350 ml bottle.
- Schoolchildren: the b.box 500 ml bottles, with straw or spout.
- Big drinkers and long days: the Quokka bottles of 510 to 630 ml.
Warm drinks: take care
An insulated bottle keeps warm drinks at temperature for a long time. That's nice, but it also means the drink can still be hot after a few hours. So never fill the bottle with boiling water for young children, and taste it yourself before your child drinks. For toddlers and preschoolers, lukewarm drinks are safest.
Tips for cold drinks
Want the water to stay extra cold? First rinse the bottle with cold water or leave it in the fridge with ice water for a few minutes, then fill it. With the Quokka bottles you can also add ice cubes. Fill the bottle as full as possible; the less air inside, the longer the temperature stays the same.
Thermos bottles for boys at school
A thermos bottle is heavier than a plastic one, so choose a size your son can carry himself. Put his name on the bottle, as many bottles often stand together at school, and let him practise opening and closing the straw or spout at home.
Cleaning
Wash the bottle every day with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Take the cap and the straw or spout apart, so no residue remains. A bottle brush gets into the neck and the straw well; you'll find one under bottle brushes. Let all parts dry open. Follow the instructions per brand: the b.box and Kidzroom bottles are dishwasher safe, the Quokka and Petit Monkey bottles are best washed by hand.
